My goal throughout my writing career has been to accumulate a portfolio of written works that demonstrate my ability to

Working with The Guardian Angels Cat Rescue and Adoption Shelter (GA) in Hot Springs, Arkansas, I wrote a grant proposal seeking $5,000 from The Doris Day Animal Foundation. The grant would help to provide continued funding for their Good Neighbor Program which provides monetary assistance to proven low-income individuals in the form of low-cost spay/neuter vouchers and discounted medical service vouchers. While the grant proposal was not accepted, I encouraged GA to contact me in the future to help provide any necessary adjustments to my proposal in order to send it to alternate possible funders.
Beginning August 2018, I started my sixth year with The Arkansas School for Math, Sciences, and the Arts (ASMSA) in the Library Research Center. After the departure of the Head Librarian in July, the administration decided not to hire a replacement for the position and to instead divide up the responsibilities between myself and my coworker. This transition included boosting the social media presence of the library, a task that I eagerly volunteered to spearhead.
With a target audience in mind (teens, parents of teens, and ASMSA Residence Life staff), I wrote a social media proposal suggesting the addition of Instagram as the main social media account for the library. The proposal included an editorial calendar with posts scheduled daily for December 2018 as well as 14 sample Instagram posts. The proposal was accepted by the Dean of Academic Affairs at ASMSA and I have spent the last view months both creating content and continuing to sharpen my content management skills.
STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION PLAN :
Because the fundraising efforts by the Ozark Mission Project (OMP) were in need of expansion, I drafted a strategic communication plan focused around cultivating a database of future donors. By both increasing their social media following and adding at least one part-time staff member dedicated to regional press, I predicted that their fundraising donations would improve.
